About Liz King

Growing up immersed in the world of Disney and the motion picture industry ignited a lifelong passion for storytelling. For decades, I’ve dedicated myself to helping others bring their stories to life through book design, graphic arts, and media.

When I was young, I received a piece of advice that would shape my path—offered by the legendary Disney artist Herb Ryman. He told me, “Liz, now remember, your talent doesn't belong to you; you need to give it away.” At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the meaning behind his words, but I held onto them. Today, I understand the wisdom in Herb’s guidance: our talents are meant to serve others.

With that in mind, I now devote my time and creativity to The Story Collective—a business rooted in the belief that everyone’s story deserves to be told. Whether it’s through books, visual media, or design, I help people share their journeys in meaningful ways.

I’m also an author, writing books for individuals facing cognitive impairments and challenges. My first book, You Still Matter, is dedicated to those living with dementia—a reminder that no matter the struggle, every person holds value and purpose.
